Premier League Match-Day 36 Recap

Match Day 36: The new king of the Premier League

thesun.co.uk
As the new week of the Premier League was about to kick off there was new king of the Premier League announced this being Mo Salah who is one of Liverpools off season recruits who has been crowned by his peers the PFA player of the year for the Premier League in an era where the market for a players signature costs alot more then what it once was £42 million is an absolute steal for what he has done this season for the reds. He is only one goal away from scoring the most goals in a single premier league season as he his tied on 31 with some premier league legends, either way if he wasn't to score another goal this season 31 goals in a 38 game season is still an amazing return.

Crystal Palace have all but secured safety as they had a field day over Leicester city winning 5-0 and  recording their biggest ever Premier league win in the clubs history, another team that has all but secured their position is Manchester United who have pretty much secured 2nd after a late Marouane Fellaini header secured a 2-1 win against Arsenal who are still yet to secure an away point in 2018.

Down at the bottom end of the standings West Brom and Southampton came away with vital wins to keep their survival hopes alive whilst Stoke got a unexpected away draw against a misfiring Liverpool meaning all 3 teams in the relegation zone are all still alive with 2 match-days to go (Southampton have a game in hand) this is going to lead to a very interesting last couple of weeks, Wolves have already secured promotion whilst the other 2 positions are still up for grabs to replace the teams that do eventually go down.

Back up to the top of the league Manchester City are still looking to make this record breaking season even more remarkable as they have 3 games left to play they can be the first team ever in a 38 game season to get over the 100 point mark and they also have the chance to beat the previous record held by Chelsea which is currently at 95 points in a season.

So there is still a lot to play for in the coming weeks and it is looking like it is going to go down to the wire.
