Amongst the fierce competitions of the 2018 NBA playoffs, the question "Who is the MVP this year?" still remains to be one of the most popular sports bar debates.

Last year, Russell Westbrook was able to secure the trophy in a duel between James Harden and Kawhi Leonard. However, this year, we have a few changes in the contenders battling to become the 2018 NBA season MVP. Here are the possible MVP of 2018:

1. James Harden
- Houston Rockets are claiming #1 seed in the Western Conference
- Led his team to a 17 game winning streak
- Has the highest ppg
- Third highest apg

2. Damian Lillard
- Portland Trailblazers are claiming #3 seed in the Western Conference
- Led his team to a 13 game winning streak
- Has the fourth highest ppg

3. Anthony Davis
- Led his team to a 10 game winning streak despite the absence of DeMarcus Cousins
- Has the highest bpg
- Second highest ppg

4. LeBron James
- Broke Michael Jordan's record for consecutive games with double digit scoring
- Third highest ppg
- Second highest apg

5. Stephen Curry
- Curry has been out of league due to his injury but still remains to be in the discussion of MVPs
- He was averaging 26.4 points, 6 assists, and 5 rebounds with a shooting percentage of 50 from the field
